Head Shot Alert - make sure you look great!

@ 04:08 PM (2 months, 2 hours ago)

All,

I need you to review your or your child’s headshot which will be displayed in the lobby of the theater.  Headshots are posted at:

http://photos.sagerdesigns.com/Forge

I am going to print these Tuesday evening.  There are two things you need to do by tomorrow afternoon:

1)       You’ll notice that I don’t have names for most kids.  When you reply, send me their name as it will appear on the photo posted in the lobby.  I’d suggest their casual or nick name rather than full name, e.g. I prefer “Ed Sager” over “Edward Sager”.  BE SURE to associate the name with the number/letter currently assigned to their gallery.

2)       Pick your favorite shot.  All shots will be closely cropped just barely showing the shoulders so don’t worry about anything below the neck.  I will also be adjusting the brightness and color of the picture so don’t worry about that either.  THEN, email me the file name of your preferred shot. The file name is displayed under photo and looks like IMG_1234.

You can order prints from the site.  From what others have told me, they come out very well.  You can crop the photos during the check-out process.  If you are going to order large prints, send me the file name, as described above, before hand, and I’ll run them through Photoshop to enhance the color and brightness.

No more TBA

@ 04:14 PM (2 months, 4 days ago)

Saturday's TBA event is no longer to TBA. There are still several finishing touches on the set and props. I will be painting from 10 to 1 with anyone who can come, kids and parents. With help, we should be able to get out much earlier! Please email me at akeefeproductions@gmail.com if you are able to come. Painting is a lot of fun, and I'd really appreciate the help!

Saturday and Sunday!

@ 01:28 PM (2 months, 20 days ago)

Saturday

I'll get right down to it. As you can see by looking at the current state of our set, the construction team is still, unfortunately, working. They are hoping to finish up this Saturday from 8am to 11am, but they are desperately in need of help. We are looking parents with upper body strength to move some pieces of lumber from the old Charlie Brown set off of our stage, so that the construction team can continue building. There is no technical ability required, and you do not need to stay the whole time, just volunteer for what you can! If you are planning to help, please email me at akeefeproductions@gmail.com or comment here. Thanks! The sooner the set is done the better the show will be!

Sunday

We are hoping to have our first full run-through of the show in costume, and on the set this Sunday! In order to aid this process we have some schedule changes to make you all aware of. I will be calling Auditioning and Ghost, and the Opening for 4:00pm, they may leave at 7:00pm. Dr. Frankenstudel should arrive at 6:00 pm and stay until 9:00.

During this time, we will use as many costumes as possible, and adjust the blocking (movement around the stage) to fit our new set! We appreciate your cooperation, as the extra time will make a huge difference going into full run-throughs!

Set and TV Interview Alerts

@ 12:56 PM (2 months, 27 days ago)

Set Construction on Sunday, 7/20 is canceled for the children! We are very sorry, but the actual construction is going to be too rough and tumble for us, and the last thing we want is for anyone to get hurt! We may have the opportunity to do some painting, and I will keep you posted on that. However, if you are a parent with construction experience, and are interested in assisting two Forge Theatre Productions, call Hal Holzer at home 917-280-5748.

We will also be voting on which members of our cast will be attending the taping of "Poking Around Phoenixville" from our local TV station, Phantom TV. Remember, you may not vote for yourself! We are asking that everyone checks the date 7/22 at 10:20 am. This is the time you would need to be available for. If you are not interested in going, or are not available for that time, send me an email (at akeefeproductions@gmail.com) or comment here, and your name will be taken off the ballot. The vote will take place Thursday 7/17, so I must know soon!

Fashionista's Rescheduled!

@ 10:48 PM (3 months, 5 days ago)

Fashionista's has asked to reschedule it's makeup night once again, in order to bring in someone whom has consulted for theatre before. We are very excited that he can come, and ask for your patience as the date is moved for the final time. The new "makeup" date will be July 17th. There were a few scenes already listed for the 8th already. These will be the scenes called.

On the 17th everyone should report to Fashionista's at 7:00 PM. There will be a few scenes called to meet at Reeve's park, and the production staff will bring them to the Salon. EVERYONE should be picked up at the Salon. Information is listed below.

Also - please note that the location of rehearsal on the 10th has been moved to Reeve's park. The blog schedule has been updated and is 100% correct.

Thank you all for your hard work when I was away. I am so glad to be back!

3 Weekend Reminders

@ 12:36 PM (3 months, 16 days ago)

Hello everyone!

For those of you who are not aware, I will be away from June 27th through July 5th. During this time Sheila, Jan, Sarah, and Sue Flavin will be running rehearsals, and getting you all in tip top shape for the show. I am very confident in their awesome abilities, and know you will learn a lot from them. Also know that I will still have internet connection to answer emails and update the blog. So keep reading! Here are a few reminders to help this weekend run smoothly...

1. Tonight we will be having rehearsal at the Reeve's Park Bandshell. Reeve's Park is located in Pheonixville between 2nd and 3rd street. Our rain location is at the Library across from the park.

2. Some of you have asked for more information about the Dance Studio. Sarah sent me this this. I hope it is helpful.

The address for Creative Steps Dance Studio is:

3563 Schuylkill Rd.

Spring City, PA 19475

It is between Bridge St. and New St. on Route 724

It is in a small parking area with 2-3 other stores/restaurants.

The phone number to the dance studio is 610-948-5214

3. On the 29th, everyone will be attending a dance rehearsal at the Forge. At the same time, the most important Board Meeting of the year for the theatre will be taking place down stairs. It is imperative that everyone is one THEIR VERY BEST BEHAVIOR! That means giving Sarah and Sue Flavin your absolute respect, and being quiet. I know that you are all great kids, and I want the Board to know just how special all of you are too!

Thank you all for your hard work. I can't wait to see how you all have grown when I return!

A second ALERT!

@ 03:15 PM (3 months, 23 days ago)

Due to a scheduling conflict, Fashionista's will not be attending our rehearsal on 7/1. Instead the following scenes will be called AG 3, 6, 8 Dr. F. 5, 7 . They have re-scheduled with us for Tuesday 7/8. You will notice that the scenes scheduled for this day have also been moved. The blog has, once again, been updated and is 100% correct; I have also added the times for each rehearsal. If you receive a printed schedule tonight, it will be reliable as well.

Reminder: if you would like to continue to get printed schedules, please email me by June 24th (the same date as everyone should off book - or all lines are memorized)

Again, I apologize for the changes, but we are glad to be working out the kinks now.
